Participation in the opening ceremony of JYSK store

On November 16, 2016, Minister-Counsellor of the Embassy Yaroslav Mitskevich participated in the opening ceremony of the first store of the Danish retail chain JYSK in Minsk (the investment volume is 1,2 million EUR).

In March of the current year the Embassy of Belarus in Latvia launched implementation of a large-scale project of cooperation with the Icelandic group of the company JYSK, aimed at the promotion of a large assortment of Belarusian household goods through this retail chain in the Baltic countries, as well as at the opening of 25 JYSK stores in Belarus for ten years.

The Embassy arranged a number of visits of the administration of the Icelandic and Baltic Groups of the company JYSK to Belarus, in the framework of which the meetings with the Ministry of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade, Minsk City Executive Committee, “Bellesbumprom” and “Bellegprom” concerns, 30 enterprises-exporters were held.

According to the results of negotiations the contracts for the supply of goods of LLC “Vegas”, CJSC “Involux”, OJSC “Mogilevdrev” and OJSC ‘Olsa”, OJSC “Brest Carpets” and ALC “Kamisa” to the JYSK retail chain  in Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia were signed.  Annual total volume of exports amounts for about 7 million EUR.

In December of the current year the company JYSK is planning to open the second store in Minsk, in 2017 – three stores in Mogilev, Grodno and Minsk.
