Ambassador of Belarus Vasily Markovich meets with Director General of the directorate of security policy and international organizations of MFA Latvia Kaspars Ozoliņš

On 27 September, the Ambassador of Belarus to Latvia Vasily Markovich met with the Director General of the directorate of security policy and international organizations of MFA Latvia Kaspars Ozoliņš.

The parties discussed the state of play and prospects of the dialogue between Belarus and Latvia on security, also in the sphere of information technologies. In view of the rising global threats of terrorism stressed was the importance of the initiative by the President of Belarus for creation of a Digital Good-Neighborhood Belt which was voiced at the international high-level conference ‘Countering terrorism through innovative approaches and the use of new and emerging technologies’ on 3 September 2019 in Minsk.
